Join Stray Dog Yoga for a special 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training starting this fall, created and led by your own Stray Dog teachers. Whether you feel called to teach or are simply interested in deepening your understanding of yoga and your own practice, teacher training can be a transformative journey that touches all aspects of your life, both on and off the mat. This 200 hour training has been built upon the aspects of Stray Dog that you know and love–powerful movement in a heated room paired with connection and heart–while also delving into the rich and vast philosophy of yoga.
The Stray Dog faculty is dedicated to real time contact for the full 200 hours (no recordings!), so we’ve spread the training over 10 weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) and 8 Wednesday evenings to accommodate busy schedules and lives.
All weekend dates will be held in person, at either the studio or a nearby location, Friday 6-9 pm and Saturday/Sunday 8 am-5 pm. A typical weekend schedule will include morning lecture and discussion, a midday faculty-led heated practice, a break, and afternoon lecture and practice teaching.
All Wednesday evening dates will be held virtually, from 6-8:30 pm. A typical Wednesday evening will include lecture and discussion, where you can participate comfortably from your own home.
Attendance and engagement is important. If you know in advance of a scheduling conflict, please discuss with a faculty member before committing to training.
With thousands of combined teaching hours, Michele, Erin, and Lisa have a wealth of experience and information to share. They have lovingly crafted this training to serve the Stray Dog community, based on their shared passion for inclusive, authentic yoga.
Lisa Rischitelli
E-RYT 500, YACEP
Although newer to the North Hills area and Stray Dog community, Lisa has been writing and leading yoga teacher trainings for more than 10 years, including in-person and virtual 200 hour trainings, 300 hour trainings, and continuing education modules. She has also worked with individual teachers and studio owners in mentorship and consulting roles, as well as led retreats, workshops, and specialty classes around the country and internationally. Lisa’s training expertise and passion centers around inclusive alignment, helping bodies find their own unique expression, and smart sequencing that supports student growth. She loves helping yoga teachers find their own voice and creative expression in guiding their students.
Erin Malone
RYT 200
At the heart of the Stray Dog Yoga community, studio owner Erin Malone has influenced countless students with her powerful flows, inspiring messages, and warm energy since she and her husband purchased the studio in 2017. With thousands of teaching hours and experience in leading retreats, Erin’s special perspective as both a yoga teacher and a studio owner brings multifaceted wisdom to the 200 hour training. Erin is excited to help trainees learn how to create a welcoming atmosphere, foster community, and best utilize their presence and voice.
Michele Miklos
E-RYT 200, YACEP
As a full-time yoga teacher for nearly a decade, Michele is committed to sharing yoga as a way of life. While she has taught thousands of hours in studios and gyms throughout her extensive career, she has also brought yoga to diverse audiences in non-traditional locations, including local businesses, schools, assisted living facilities, corporate events, outdoor community spaces, and more. As a lifelong learner with an inquisitive mind, Michele’s personal practice and professional knowledge have been shaped with domestic and international travel (including Bali!), as well as ongoing training in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and Restorative. Since joining Stray Dog as an instructor in 2019, Michele has led workshops and retreats, introduced new class formats and styles to the schedule, and stepped into a studio manager role. In addition to her creative and intentional Vinyasa sequencing, Michele also offers students a deep well of knowledge of yogic philosophy, history, energy work, breathwork, and meditation.
